Benefits of working with Zaque

Why Zaque

The case for choosing a calm, independent advisor

Most advisory relationships come with an angle. Ours doesn't. Here's what that means in practice — and why it matters for founders.

Six things founders consistently value about working with us

They listen first

No pre-packed solutions. The first part of every engagement is understanding the situation fully before suggesting anything.

Everything is written down

After each session, a plain-language summary arrives within five business days. Actionable and shareable with co-founders.

No conflict of interest

No commissions, no referral fees, no investments in clients. The advice is shaped only by what's good for your company.

Grounded in Colombia

The advice reflects local market conditions, regulatory context, and the realities of building a company here, not abroad.

Transparent, fixed pricing

Every service has a published price. There are no hidden charges, variable fees, or surprise additions after the engagement starts.

Paced to your reality

We adapt to what's happening in your company, not a fixed programme schedule. The work moves as fast — or as slowly — as your situation calls for.

Expertise

Deep experience across multiple sectors and stages

Our team has worked with companies ranging from very early pre-revenue experiments to operations with established customers and growing teams. That range matters because the challenges evolve quickly, and advisors who've only seen one stage can miss what's coming next.

We have direct experience in financial services, technology, consumer goods, and professional services — all within the Colombian context. That sector breadth lets us draw connections across industries that often carry more insight than any single-sector perspective.

What this means in practice

We recognize early-warning patterns that founders at the first stage don't yet know to look for

We can translate between financial, operational, and commercial perspectives in the same conversation

We've worked alongside founders through fundraising, restructuring, and quiet periods — not just growth phases

We know which questions investors in Colombia are asking in 2025 and how to prepare for them honestly

What the process looks like

Short pre-session questionnaire to help us prepare before we meet

Working session — unhurried, focused on what's actually happening

Written summary delivered within five business days

Follow-up as needed — we're available between sessions for brief questions

Process

A clear, unhurried way of working

Advisory sessions that don't result in anything written tend to fade quickly from memory. At Zaque, the written summary after each session is part of the service — not an optional add-on. Founders can share it with co-founders, return to it before the next session, or use it to track what's changed over time.

We also keep the process simple. There's no onboarding portal, no app to download, no long intake process. You reach us by email or phone, and we schedule from there.

Value & Pricing

Fees set at a level early-stage companies can work with

Many consulting firms price their services out of reach for early-stage founders, or structure fees around a percentage of funding or revenue — which creates incentives that don't always align with good advice. We use fixed, published pricing so there are no surprises and no misaligned incentives.

The First Steps Review at $122.000 COP, the Build Companion at $198.000 COP per month, and the Readiness Study at $310.000 COP are priced to reflect the time and attention the work requires — and to be accessible to companies at the stage we serve.

Our pricing principles

No percentage-based fees

What Sets Us Apart

Things you won't find everywhere

Plain-language summaries, not decks

Our written follow-ups are short, clear documents — not slide presentations. They're designed to be read quickly and shared easily with everyone who needs to see them.

Rehearsal sessions for investor conversations

The Readiness Study includes a session where we run through the kinds of questions investors typically ask, so the actual conversation isn't the first time you've had to answer them out loud.

One point of contact, not a rotating team

You work with the same person throughout your engagement. There's no handoff to a junior associate after the initial session, and no need to re-explain your situation every time.

Summaries designed to be shared with co-founders

We write our session summaries knowing they'll often be read by people who weren't in the room. They're written to communicate clearly to a co-founder or board member without requiring context.
