Our Methodology

How every engagement begins

Each Zaque service starts the same way: with a short written questionnaire that helps us understand your situation before the first session. We ask about the business, the team, the recent decisions, and the things that are keeping you up at night. We read those answers carefully before we meet.

The first session is largely listening. We ask questions and take notes. By the end we usually have a clear enough picture to name what matters most and to agree on what the next period of work should address.

Every session ends with a commitment to deliver a written summary within five business days. That document is what makes the conversation useful — it records what was discussed, what was agreed, and what the open questions are.

Pre-session questionnaire

You fill in a short written form before we meet. It helps us prepare and means the session starts with context, not introductions.

Working session

A focused conversation — in person at our Bogotá office or via video. We listen more than we speak, especially early on.

Written summary

A plain-language document that records the conversation, the agreed next steps, and the questions worth revisiting. Delivered within five working days.

Ongoing availability

Between sessions, we're reachable for brief questions. We don't bill by the hour for short exchanges.

Build Companion

A three-month advisory arrangement for young companies that value calm, steady input while they grow. You receive fortnightly working sessions, light support between them, and a shared plan updated as things evolve. Designed to keep pace with your reality rather than push ahead of it.

The Build Companion is not a mentoring programme with targets to hit. It's more like having a thoughtful outside voice available at the moments when direction is uncertain. We don't set the agenda — you do. The sessions follow what's actually happening in your company, not a predetermined curriculum.

Readiness Study

A careful four-week assessment for startups preparing to raise or scale. We review the business model, finances, and operations, then hand over a clear, prioritized roadmap and a short investor-facing overview. Includes a rehearsal session for upcoming conversations.

This is for founders who have a significant conversation coming up — with an investor, a lender, a partner, or a board — and want to arrive at it prepared. The Readiness Study gives you a clear picture of where you are, a document you can use in those conversations, and a rehearsal session so the first time you answer hard questions isn't the real thing.
